Learners will be taught about :
- How to detect for post-partum depression
- Danger signs for mom and baby
- Personal hygiene and care of the wound (C-section or episiotomy)
- Infant feeding and breast care, importance of rest & sleep
- Importance of new mother eating healthy foods
- Ensuring a proper home environment for promoting health of baby and recovery of mother
- Importance of birth spacing
- Assist mom with the house chores, caring for the baby, etc to allow her to get the proper rest, nutrition, and vaginal care.
