The Award in Basic Swedish Massage will be a blend of theory and practical, allowing the learners to demonstrate that they know how to evaluate a client, drape them correctly as well as perform a Swedish massage. To do this the learners will be given the opportunity to practice on each other as well as on a real client; knowledge of the 5 basics techniques are performed. A great focus on theoretical knowledge will be applied to help them identify and develop these techniques.

This Award in Basic Swedish Massage Therapy features the following:

• Locate the major bones & Muscles of the body and function of each
• Lerner must be able to do a proper body assessment/ evaluation and taught a few simple exercises that could benefit the client
• Learner must be able to know all the benefits of massage so that they know how to determine and recommend the proper treatment for the client
