History of and Time lines CCA
In 2017 Miss Jacqui Tomlinson Smith had a vision to start and create a CIDESCO Training Academy in the Cayman Islands . The Cayman Career Academy was the first CIDESCO school in the Caribbean. After and arduous journey of two and a half years the academy was given the nod of approval from Ministry of Education to open its doors to the first set of local Caymanians on their road to becoming the first set of local Caymanian students these graduates have made history worldwide and locally as the first Caymanians locally certified with CIDESCO qualifications”.
Cayman Career Academy was given the honorable designation of being a CIDESCO approved school. This honor was shared with the partnership of Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC),
1920
Despite COVID we persevered and was able to teach online two CIDESCO Diploma courses – Beauty & Spa Management and Beauty Therapy.
2019
Cayman Career Academy (CCA) opened in April 2019 offering the prestigious CIDESCO Diploma in Beauty Therapy and Two Certificate Courses – Aesthetics and Body Therapy as well as the Post Graduate CIDESCO Beauty Therapy course.
2021
July 2021 CCA embarked on another higher level accreditation from the UK named EduQual . This accreditation allowed CCA to offer specialized UK accredited courses to serve the highly demanding needs of the Cayman Islands.
Through these courses we have a new trajectory moving from initially a Beauty school to a Training Institution offering a very diverse array of specialized courses.

- Award in Safe Babysitting Practice (EduQual Level 2)
- Awards in Face, Body & Specialty Waxing (Eduqual Level 2)

Pass Rate
Cayman Carrer Academy has been able to boast of a pass rate from 98 % to 100 %.We continue to work on delivering exceptionally skilled and competent Lecturers to keep our pass rate to its optimum level. Our lecturers work with each student to ensure
they get appropriate feedback at the end of each session.
Partnerships
It is our privilege to be partnering with Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman(WORC), Cayman Islands Government National Training & Development, Programme coordinator, who with CCA faculty members, combine efforts to ensure the programmes that are best suited to meet the growing needs of the Cayman Islands. Once chosen through an interview process, these cohorts are given scholarships from WORC and are trained in these fields at CCA.
